Project Manager,
Traffic Engineering and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)

Our project managers are key to the success of Sabra, Wang & Associates, Inc. and integral in providing our clients the best possible deliverable.  The Traffic Engineering and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Project Manager will lead a team of engineers to deliver complete traffic engineering and ITS projects including transportation research, ITS planning & design, traffic signal timing and connected vehicle applications.  Responsibilities include winning or obtaining new task proposals; developing scope of work and fee estimates; performing technical work; managing budgets; coordinating with internal clients, external clients, and public stakeholders; and managing project teams.

 

The PM is expected to:

• Perform traffic modeling and simulation studies using Synchro, VISSIM, and HCS
• Write technical reports
• Prepare bid-ready design plans, specifications and cost estimates
• Design and deliver presentations at technical meetings
• Write and manage company responses to Requests for Proposals
• May include working at other offices (DC, MD, VA, DE area)

 

Requirements to be successful include:

• Master’s degree in Civil engineering
• Professional Engineer license (MD preferred)
• Six years of Traffic/ITS engineering experience
• PTOE Certification a plus
• Proficiency with VISSIM, SYNCHRO, Microstation
• Experience working on state Department of Transportation On-Call Traffic Engineering and ITS contracts
• Previous Experience on USDOT research projects preferred
